What we collect

When you create an account we store your name, your email address, and a cryptographic hash of your password. We never store the password itself and cannot recover it. While you are signed in we store a session record so we know the browser holding your session cookie is really yours.

As you use the portal we record which practice tools and lessons you have opened or completed, which ones you have saved, and the conversations you have with the study assistant. We keep a limited security log of sign-ins and account changes; IP addresses in that log are stored as one-way hashes rather than in readable form.

How we use it

To run the portal: authenticating you, remembering your progress, answering your study-assistant questions, enforcing usage limits so one account cannot exhaust a shared resource, and investigating abuse or security incidents. We do not sell personal information.

Advertising and cookies

This site is supported by advertising. We use Google AdSense, and Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this and other sites on the internet.

You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of a broader set of third-party vendors at aboutads.info. Third-party vendors and ad networks may also serve ads on this site; more information is available in Google's policy on how it uses data from sites that use its services.

Separately from advertising, we set one strictly necessary cookie that keeps you signed in. It carries no advertising identifier and is deleted when you sign out.

Students under 18

Much of our audience is school-age. Where a student is under the age of digital consent in their jurisdiction, an account must be created and managed by a parent or guardian, and advertising shown to that account is limited to non-personalised ads. Parents and guardians may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their child's information by emailing us.

The study assistant

Questions you type into the study assistant are sent to our AI provider to generate a response, and the exchange is stored on your account so you can return to it. Do not put personal information you would not want retained into it. You can delete a conversation at any time from your account.

Retention and your choices

Account data is kept while your account is open. Expired sessions are cleared automatically. You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by emailing privacy@argentumtutoring.com, and we will act on it within 30 days.

Changes and contact

If we make a material change to this policy we will update the date at the top and, where the change is significant, tell account holders directly. Questions go to privacy@argentumtutoring.com.
