Accepting these terms

By creating an account or using the Argentum Tutoring portal you agree to these terms. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian must agree on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the service.

Your account

Accounts are personal. Keep your password to yourself, do not let anyone else sign in as you, and tell us promptly if you think someone has. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend an account that is being shared, automated, or used to work around usage limits.

Acceptable use

Do not use the portal to:

• Break the law, harass anyone, or upload material you do not have the right to share.
• Probe, scrape, overload, or attempt to bypass any security or rate-limiting mechanism.
• Submit work produced by the study assistant as your own where the rules of your school or exam board prohibit it. That is your responsibility to check, not ours.
• Resell, redistribute, or bulk-download portal material without written permission.

The study assistant

The assistant is an AI system. It is useful and it is also sometimes wrong — it can state an incorrect fact or a flawed method with complete confidence. Treat its output as a study aid to check, not as an authority. We make no guarantee about accuracy and are not responsible for grades, exam outcomes, or academic penalties arising from its use.

Third-party and embedded content

Some material in the library is hosted by third parties and displayed inside the portal. We do not control that content and are not responsible for it. Its own terms and privacy policies apply when you interact with it.

Advertising

The portal displays advertising, which is what keeps it available at no cost to students outside paid tutoring. Ads are labelled as advertising. We do not endorse advertised products, and any transaction you enter into with an advertiser is between you and them.

Our content

Lesson material, practice tools, and the portal itself belong to Argentum Tutoring or our licensors. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for your own study while your account is active. Anything you write stays yours; you grant us only the permission needed to store and display it back to you.

Availability, changes, and ending your account

We do not promise uninterrupted service and may change or withdraw features. You can close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms. If we change these terms materially we will update the date above and notify account holders where the change is significant.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the portal is provided as-is, and our aggregate liability arising from it is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
